M.I.A Surfcamp is a beach front surf camp overlooking five different reef breaks, catering to all board riders/surfers of all levels. Don't be fooled, as most people travel all over the world to to try and surf the hallowing barrels Mentawai Islands have to offer, there are also breaks in the "playgrounds" area that are suitable for beginner/intermediate board-riders.
Unlike other camps in the area, M.I.A has waves that break every day of the year allowing you the freedom to paddle out whenever you want - there is no need to wait for a speedboat or for guests to wake up. Even though a speedboat isn’t required to access waves, one is available to take guests to the other 25+ waves in the area along with an experienced surf-guide to maximize your time on this beautiful island.

Your experience at M.I.A is paramount, and it's for this reason numbers are limited to only eight guests at any one time. Our boutique experience is a personal one and surpassing expectations is the goal; it's not about reaching big numbers but delivering great experiences (and waves). Children are to be at least 14 years old.
accommodation
The accommodation consists of two large bungalows each with their own en-suites which sleeps four people in each (couples room available on request), plus a large chill house for meals, snacks, WiFi, bar with ice cold bintangs, table tennis, darts, library, board games and a 50" TV with cable television. The property is set on a 2-acre block so there is plenty of space to relax, play soccer, or simply watch those hypnotic waves roll in to the shore.
