Surfing
Our best kept secret!! Pango Peninsular is the place where the locals go to surf. People will tell you "there’s no surf in Vanuatu" but that's what they said about Fiji not so long ago. This place is just as good as some of the crowded spots in Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga but there is no fee to access the beach here, and not the same volume of tourists! Similar to the Maldives, it doesn't get huge waves but has perfect shape in tropical surroundings and it is right outside your front door.
Kite-surfing is another sport that happens in our neck of the woods as there is a well protected cove buffeting the reef and the start of the Pacific Ocean. Only catch is you have to bring your own gear!! But don’t tell anyone!! |
